Shaimaa Jasim is a MSc candidate at the Centre of Molecular Medicine and Innovative Therapeutics (CMMIT), Murdoch University. Her research is concentrated on developing antisense oligonucleotides as a potential therapy for cardiovascular disease. Her work involves reducing the specific protein levels responsible for elevating LDL levels in the bloodstream.
