Rebecca Ong is a PhD candidate in the Brain Plasticity Lab under the supervision of Dr Alex Tang and A/Professor Jennifer Rodger at the University of Western Australia and Perron Institute. Her research is focused on harnessing the potential of non-invasive brain stimulation as a method of promoting healthy brain ageing. Using next generation sequencing and spatial biology techniques she hopes to better understand the effects of brain stimulation on the cells of our brain as we age and how this treatment can be optimized to maintain a healthy functioning brain throughout our adult lives.
