Research group
Dr Oliver Li is a post-doctoral research scientist in the Motor Neurone Disease Group led by Professor Anthony Akkari at Murdoch University and Perron Institute. His PhD, undertaken in the Molecular Therapies group at CMMIT, focused on developing antisense therapies for Duchenne muscular dystrophy and Parkinson’s disease. Oliver studied medicine at Shanghai Jiao Tong University, China, where his focus was on neurodegenerative diseases. As a post-doctoral researcher, his passion remains in developing novel therapeutics for neurodegenerative diseases including Parkinson’s disease and motor neurone disease.
