Dr Kelly Martinovich is a Research Fellow based within the Molecular Therapy Laboratory at the Personalised Medicine Centre, a joint initiative between Perron Institute and Murdoch University. Kelly completed her PhD in 2021 at the University of Western Australia investigating oligo based therapeutics for people with rare Cystic Fibrosis variants. During this time, she won numerous awards and scholarships based on academic merit. As a highly skilled Lab-based researcher, she has advanced the understanding of many cell and molecular biology methodologies, contributing to novel discoveries in Airway Diseases, Infectious Diseases, Cardiovascular Diseases and the basic understanding of oligo-based therapeutics. She is focused on developing novel therapeutics and bridging the gap between academia and industry. Kelly is the Secretary for the Australian Gene and Cell Therapy Society and an EMCR representative for both Perron and Murdoch University. Kelly is an avid gardener and enjoys playing netball with her friends.
