One of only three Perron Institute Affiliates based outside of Australia, Professor Jaglish Prasad Agrawal is Dean of Medicine at the Institute of Medicine at Tribhuvan University in Kathmandu, Nepal.
A medical graduate from the University of Rajasthan in India, Professor Agrawal is one of Nepal’s most distinguished neurologists and is currently President of the Muscular Dystrophy Foundation-Nepal. The goal of the Foundation is to improve the quality of life for muscular dystrophy sufferers in Nepal and currently has over 700 registered patients spread across 69 of Nepal’s 75 administrative districts.
Professor Agrawal has a longstanding interest in health professions education and is a strong proponent of curriculum reform in medicine. He holds a Masters degree in Health Professions Education from Maastricht University and is currently Executive Director of the National Centre For Health Professions Education in Nepal.
